For those of you that haven’t heard of us, CTC is a company that finds top notch speech, occupational, and physical therapists for school systems around the country.
The story of Comprehensive Therapy Consultants began with two women: Patti Normand and Sherry McGhee. At the time, they had no idea that that they would be a few of the first to pioneer the way for speech, OT, and PT in Georgia school systems, but thats exactly what happened. When discussing the history with Patti and Sherry, they said candidly, “…we just saw a need for children and we helped fill it. At the time, no one really knew what an OT or PT was supposed to do with children in the schools. We had to explain to schools how we could benefit the students and help each student meet their IEP Five years ago, NeShanta Wilburn (current owner and CEO) bought Comprehensive Therapy Consultants from Patti and Sherry. Although the spirit of the company is still the same, CTC looks very different today in terms of numbers! Not only are we in Georgia, but we also have school contracts in (but not limited to) Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Tennessee, and Arizona. We have over 100 therapists working for us in school systems across the country and are proud to say that we are a company that is able to offer exceptional benefits and retirement options.
CTC is special because our company functions differently than the average “large, run of the mill recruiting company”. CTC is essentially a group of therapists that help other therapists succeed. We don’t have “recruiters”. If you call Comprehensive, you speak to a SCHOOL THERAPIST that is familiar with the school system and can answer questions from their own experiences. Our company is not designed just to help you find a good job, but also to help you thrive in your school environment. We offer personal mentoring for every single one of our therapists because we understand that situations arise in the school system that are not always conventional.
